Question about long-distance calling cards?
marm asked:
So, my boyfriend’s going to Turkey for a bit, and he’s planning on getting a long-distance calling card. I was just wondering if he does this and calls me, then do I still have to pay long-distance fees?
Thanks

hi
no you wont have to pay for anything if he rings you as he has already paid for the card. When i go away i buy the talk home card but you can you it to ring him aswell
I think you should Skype or some other VOIP stuff if you have access to internet.
Phone company will not charge for incoming long-distance or international call. Only outgoing calls are charged.
no, that’s what the calling card is for.
If you are using a cell phone, you will still pay for minutes, because you are charged for both incoming and outgoing calls. You will not pay a long distance fee though, just pay for minutes. If you are using a land line phone, hooked to a traditional telephone line, you will not pay anything when he calls you.
